When a strategic research network for international and innovative companies from the fine blanking technology sector joins together with a working group, there is a guarantee for a successful future in the manufacturing process.

The reliability of carbide for fine blanking high-strength steel will significantly increase the efficiency and decrease the cost of the production process - this is a central goal of the working group.

In the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL of the RWTH Aachen University, they are in cooperation with many important companies from the fine blanking work group. They have succeeded in significantly improving the performance of fine blanking by using carbide punches.
