The preparation procedure

The preparation of cutting edges by means of brushes is proven method for processing the micro-geometry of cutting edges. With the brush-polishing technology by René Gerber AG, it is possible to manufacture micro-geometries cost-effectively with defined radius sizes from 0.005 to 0.020 mm. At the same time, a reduction in the roughness and chipping of the cutting edge is achieved by the polishing process. The process is suitable for all series sizes and is used by many tool manufacturers world-wide.
