Precise deburring, edge honing and polishing are the core competences of the René Gerber AG Company, Switzerland. We are among the world-wide leading specialists in the field of micro-preparation of cutting and stamping tool cutting edges. The products of the Company are characterised by six decades of experience and accumulated know-how in the field of brush-deburring and polishing.

Among all our machines we would like to highlight especially our brush polishing machine BP Mx. It presents the ideal choice for machining long-life threading inserts, drill and milling and indexable inserts. The reason?

Precise edge honing for cutting tools not only gives excellent cutting results but also increases the service life of the cutting edge. Unlike any previous assumptions, edge honing of cutting tools is by now an important process in the tool preparation that became indispensable. It allows the tools to run smoother, more precisely. At the same time, it improves service life of inserts, their surface quality and process reliability. Cutting speed of tools increases and process efficiency augments as well.

Thus, the BP Mx is particularly suited for edge and cutting preparation from hard materials such as PCD, ceramics and carbide. It conquers sharp edges and burrs, brushes precisely defined radii or contours on edges and at the same time polishes the surface to the finest finish. It reproduces calculated results with consistent accuracy and is recommended particularly for parts with a diameter of about 0.5 to 250 mm in medium to large series.  With the concept of Gerber’s BP Mx edge preparation you gain long tool life, higher abrasive performance and smooth tool running!
